1-3 June 2017 in Moscow hosted the VII all-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology.
1-3 June 2017 in Moscow, in the halls of the World Trade Center, under the leadership of academician A. Sh. Revishvili held a key event in the Russian world of Arrhythmology - the VII all-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology, that brought together on one platform aritmologii, cardiologists, other specialists of allied professions from all regions of the Russian Federation, CIS and Professor-lecture part from the countries of Europe, Asia and America. Holding national forums on Arrhythmology has become a tradition for the past ten years. Traditionally, the Congress is held every two years in different cities of Russia. The event in the capital in 2017 is dedicated to the fifteenth anniversary of the Russian Scientific society of Arrhythmology.
Today millions of people in Russia and around the world suffer from atrial fibrillation – the epidemic, involving all new and new victims - the biggest problem Arrhythmology. Every year an increasing number of centres who regularly perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, restoring life and health to thousands of patients with arrhythmias. Domestic scholars and practitioners increasingly integrate into the international professional community, taking part in European and global forums, the essence of which is in international exchange and mutual professional development. From year to year, experts are trying to implement this specialty as an independent branch. In the development and registration of a specialty, an enormous role belongs to the ideological leader, the President of the Congress, the President VNOA, academician A. Sh. Revishvili, whose credibility leads to advances in the world of domestic Arrhythmology. All-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology is three intense days dedicated to the specialty, which identifying science and practice are fighting experts for.
The organizers of the Congress were the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation, all-Russian scientific society of specialists on clinical electrophysiology, Arrhythmology, Institute of surgery. A.V. Vishnevsky, Russian society of cardiology, Russian scientific society of specialists on endovascular treatment, the Russian society of surgeons and congress-operator "MEDI Expo". Active participation in elaboration and implementation of the scientific program of the Congress: Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), World Society of Arrhythmias (WSA), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society (ECAS).
The event received perhaps the largest outreach in its history. According to official statistics, VII all-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology gathered 1571 participants from 18 countries (Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia), which allowed the event to be another step towards international cooperation in the field of Arrhythmology. Domestic delegates represented 69 regions of the Russian Federation. Aritmology, cardiologists, most part of the doctors of related specialties gathered from 140 cities, thus providing the most representative status over the years of its history. 207 speakers and members of the Committee have lectured and debated on key areas of activities: a non-invasive Arrhythmology, atrial fibrillation, radiofrequency ablation, ICDS, cardioversion, cardiac resynchronization therapy, syncope, etc., and 97 young scientists took part in the dense scientific program.
VII all-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology three consecutive days of impressive Scientific program presented performances of dozens of world-renowned specialists non-invasive and invasive Arrhythmology, outstanding cardiologists and cardiac surgeons of the world, among which are: professor A. In the framework of the Congress, there had been held an exhibition in which 21 leading international companies-manufacturers of drugs and medical equipment presented their latest developments. The next, VIII all-Russian Congress of Arrhythmology, will be held in june 2019 in Tomsk!
