    VII International Congress on Reproductive Medicine. Post-release

    VII International Congress on Reproductive Medicine was held from 21st to 24th January 2013 in the premises of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology (Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development).

    This event was organized by the Ministry and the Research Center, the Russian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, the Russian Association of Endoscopic Gynecology, the Russian Association of Endometriosis, Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery (Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation) and Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry.

    At the opening ceremony the director of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology Dr. G. Sukhikh thanked all Russian and foreign specialists for their enthusiastic response to the invitation to the Congress. He also said that 951 participants from 19 countries, (including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Moldova, United States, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, France and Japan) and 66 Russian regions have been registered at the Congress.

    Minister of Healthcare and Social Development V. Skvortsova sent her welcome letter to the participants, emphasizing the scientific, practical and educational importance of the Congress.

    Prof. O. Filippov, Deputy Director of Department for Child Healthcare and Obstetric Services of Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development highlighted in his speech positive demographic trends in Russia and results of implementation of the public health programs.

A.Ebert (Germany), Dr. Dzh.Eyzpurua (Spain) and many others took part in the VII International Congress on Reproductive Medicine.

    The scientific program of the Congress was opened by the reports of Academicians G. Sukhikh (evolutionary-genetic aspects of human reproduction) and L. Adamyan (advances in the infertility treatment).

    Achievements in research and clinical practice by the Russian and international specialists received equal coverage in the program of the Congress. Plenary sessions devoted to the urgent problems of modern obstetrics, basic and clinical aspects of endocrinology of the reproductive system, current trends in the treatment of endometriosis, and innovative approaches in the infertility treatment, infectious and inflammatory diseases of the female reproductive organsРІР‚в„ў prevention and treatment, minimal invasive operations in gynecology, problems of andrology and child gynecology were held during four days of the Congress. The session devoted to innovative approaches in the infertility treatment also included live video broadcasting from the Research CenterРІР‚в„ўs operating rooms, so every participant had an opportunity to watch live demonstration of innovative methods aimed at restoring reproductive function.
    Within the bounds of the Congress there was a press conference due to the start of the federal information and education program for infertile women and couples "Eco School". This project was developed with the participation of the Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology, the Russian Association of Human Reproduction and the Foundation "Health and Development". This program provides comprehensive information background and psychological support through SMS-notification, online seminars, lectures and expert consultations.

    The latest developments of the leading Russian and foreign manufacturers of medical products and equipment in the field of reproductive medicine and surgery were displayed at the exhibition which took place at the Research CenterРІР‚в„ўs premises during the Congress.

    Preliminary discussion of the scientific programs of the XXVI International Congress "New Technologies in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Gynecological Diseases" (June 10-13,  2013), and the VIII International Congress on Reproductive Medicine (January 2014) concluded the event.
