    PRESS RELEASE OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN CONGRESS “OUTPATIENT CARE AT THE EPICENTER OF WOMEN’S HEALTH”

    The 20th All-Russian anniversary congress with international participation “Outpatient Care at the Epicenter of Women’s Health” will take place on March 18-21, 2014 at FSBI “V.I. Kulakov Research Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology”.

    Deputy scientific director of FSBI ”V.I. Kulakov Research Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, president of the Russian Society of Contraception and the Association of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, Head of the scientific polyclinic department, M.D., professor, Honored scientist of the Russian Federation.

    Among the main goals of the Congress there are the improvement of outpatient care quality, implementation of new medical technologies, and enhancement of qualification of medical practitioners, scientists, OB/GYNs, therapeutics and other specialists.

    On the scientific agenda of the Congress there are plenary meetings, symposia, lectures, round tables, workshops, discussion clubs, clinical lectures, video presentations, etc.

    The following scientific issues will be reviewed: role of outpatient services in OB/GYN care for the population, issues of optimization of OB/GYN outpatient care, standards in OB/GYN care, topical issues in obstetrics: extragenital diseases and pregnancy, pregnancy and oncological diseases, miscarriages, pregnancy in women of high risk group, issues of implementation of new technology in outpatient care; infertile marriage: diagnostics and treatment of infertility in married couples, auxiliary reproductive technologies; issues of contraception with focus on prevention of abortions and their complications, medical aspects of contraception, modern developments in contraception, issues of breast diseases: prevention, diagnostics, and treatment; sexually transmitted diseases: new approaches to diagnostics and treatment; issues of cervical, vaginal and vulvar pathologies, achievements and new possibilities in diagnostics and treatment; precancerous conditions and cervical cancer; vaccinations in obstetrics and gynecology.

    Among the participants of the Congress will be practicing doctors and scientists from Moscow and regions, as well as heads of specialized departments of colleges and universities, directors and members of OB/GYN, oncological and endocrinology associations, foreign experts.

    A specialized exhibition of domestic and foreign manufacturers of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals will operate within a framework of the Congress, alongside with a sales event for specialized literature; a presentation of new books, dedicated to issues of cervical pathology, genital infections, contraception and others is also planned.
