Russia is moving towards innovation in technology and implementation of technological advances in practice. Laboratory medicine is one of the spheres of science, where high-tech advancements are always put to a good use. Precisely the laboratory technologies let the healthcare system set its goals towards early diagnostics. However, use of new technology must be conscious  - only then the effect of better diagnostics can be achieved.

Organizing committee will include into the scientific programme the following new high-tech advances in clinical laboratory diagnostics: clinical biochemistry, immunology, cytology, hematology, toxicology, molecular diagnostics, coagulology, microbiology, as well as issues of technological progress in the area of laboratory medicine and education of specialists.

The conference was attended by leading specialists in Russia’s laboratory services, staff members of specialized departments, research and development centers, production collectives, doctors and specialists interested in discussion of issues of clinical laboratory diagnostics.

As part of the conference, it is planned to conduct several plenary symposia, workshops, round tables, discussion clubs, lectures on separate topical issues of laboratory medicine. There will be a contest between young scientists (35 and younger) with prizes for best work. Our possibilities in providing a platform for presentation of latest achievements and developments in laboratory medicine are limitless.

Theses, perspective developments, and topical messages will be published on the pages of the magazine “Laboratory”.

Within a framework of the conference, an exhibition of modern laboratory equipment, assays, expandable supplies will take place; it is planned to conduct presentations of manufacturers, as well as meetings on organizational issues of laboratory services.

The conference was organized by the Russian Medical Academy of Graduate Studies of The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Scientific society of laboratory medicine, and Congress-operator OOO «MEDI Expo».
