5-6 December in Moscow in the business center "Radisson Slavyanskaya" was held IX all-Russian scientific-practical conference with international participation "Medicine and Quality-2016", dedicated to actual, for our society and medicine, topics. The first persons in the Russian system of health, leading experts, authoritative interviews and comments, heated debates, the lighting on the lanes leading media - this year the capital took for the ninth time perhaps the final major Conference of the healthcare system aimed at annual summarizing the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) and providing a real opportunity for professional exchange of views and prospects for work of medical organizations in the field of quality in 2017.

Traditionally on a single platform, the Conference gathers hundreds of representatives of Federal and regional ministries of health, managers of state and private medical institutions, regional departments, offices, committees and departments of health, pharmaceutical companies and medical science from all districts of the Russian Federation.

The reputable event, organized by the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare and the Federal compulsory medical insurance Fund, supported by the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation and executed by the congress-operator "MEDI Expo", succeeded for the first time in its history to collect an unprecedented number of participants.

According to official statistics, this year the Conference registered a record number of participants: 856 specialists from five countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, USA, Serbia, and Japan). Domestic delegates represented 83 subjects of the Russian Federation. Representatives of state and commercial structures moved from 115 cities, thus providing the most representative status over the years of its history.

162 speakers and members of the Scientific committee have lectured and debated on key directions: organization of medical practice based on evidence-based medicine, national clinical recommendations (treatment protocols) as a tool for examination of care quality, standards and examination of quality, safety and quality control of medical devices circulation, the WHO’s programmes for patient safety in Russia, the rights of citizens in sphere of health protection and ensuring of the state guarantees, information technology in ensuring the quality and safety of medical activities, automation of business processes in medical institutions, optimization of human and material resources, logistics processes, and many others.

Overall, the scientific program during two days focused on summarizing the development of the national health system at the highest level and had been expressed in 11 sections, 4 workshops, 3 round tables and meetings, accumulating about 140 reports.

Teams of experts from Austria, Serbia, USA and Japan A significant made a significant contribution to the scientific program, their reports had been dedicated to a block topical treatment of implantable medical devices. 

The next, X Anniversary all-Russian scientific-practical conference with international participation "Medicine and Quality" will be held in Moscow on 4-5 December 2017.
