On November 25, 2020, the XIII Russian Educational Congress "Anesthesia and Resuscitation in Obstetrics and Neonatology" has ended.

The scientific work of the online congress was attended by Russian and foreign scientists, leading specialists in anesthesiology, resuscitation, neonatology, transfusiology, obstetrics and gynecology, specialists in related clinical disciplines, experts from leading medical institutions in Russia, Latvia, Spain, Turkey, Sweden, USA, UAE, Australia.

There were 18 symposiums, 10 round tables, 9 meetings, 2 schools of neonatology, a school of neonatological nurses and nurses-anesthetists during the broadcast. In total, 217 reports were presented.

The multichannel broadcast allowed the leaders of the profession to discuss 40 vital topics: COVID in obstetrics, a patient with heart disease in an obstetric and pediatric hospital, non-standard drug therapy in newborns, patient blood management in obstetrics, the problem of atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome in obstetrics, stabilization of the condition of newborns in the delivery room, and many others.

The Congress has played a significant role in the development of perinatal medicine in Russia, setting a global purpose − to reduce maternal, perinatal and infant mortality.
