The XVIII All-Russian Conference "Functional Diagnostics — 2026" was held in Moscow

From May 26 to 28, the XVIII All-Russian Conference "Functional Diagnostics — 2026" was held in Moscow as part of the XVIII All-Russian Forum with international participation "Medical Diagnostics — 2026".

During the three-day event, over 400 specialists from various cities of the Russian Federation participated in the conference. Within the framework of the plenary and 12 sectional meetings, 67 reports were presented, dedicated to different areas of modern functional diagnostics in cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, and pediatrics.

The scientific program covered the most relevant topics of the specialization: functional diagnostics in high-tech centers, predictive functional diagnostics, clinical and diagnostic aspects of cardiac pathology in children, methods of functional and ultrasound diagnostics of vascular system diseases, stress testing, new methods for evaluating electrocardiographic studies, digital methods and neurophysiology, external respiration function; ultrasound and functional studies of the heart and blood vessels, interpretation of complex functional studies. Leading clinicians and researchers from specialized centers presented both overview reports and the results of original research and clinical observations. Significant attention was paid to the standardization of ECG and Holter monitoring reports.

At the closing ceremony, the Vice-President of the conference, Professor Natalia Beresten from the Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute named after M.F. Vladimirsky (GBUZ MO MONIKI), summarized the results and noted the rich program of the event, the high level of the reports, and the engagement of the specialists.

"For all three days, I was greatly impressed by everything I have heard, by the high level of the presented reports, and by the new, relevant information. I would like to personally thank all the speakers and tell each of them "thank you very much." Undoubtedly, the specialty of "functional diagnostics" is in demand today, as the results of our research are widely used by doctors of all specialties. However, we should not rest on our laurels. In the future, we have a lot of work ahead of us to improve and develop all directions of our specialty. The peculiarity of the current moment is that many of our studies are becoming complex, and often an indispensable link in establishing a functional diagnosis is ultrasound examination of the heart and blood vessels. Understanding the trend of development and use of functional diagnostic methods, we often find ourselves constrained within the scope of a single method. We are increasingly expanding into areas where methods for investigating the function of other organs and systems, which we did not previously conduct, are used. We all constantly need to improve our skills and abilities. And, of course, I would like this trend to continue in the future, because, as is known, there is no limit to perfection. Most of you will be participants and witnesses of the serious and progressive changes that await us in our healthcare, in general, and in our specialty, in particular."

The Conference Organizing Committee expresses its gratitude to all organizers of the Forum and our Сonference, to the speakers, moderators, and participants for their high professionalism and active participation in discussions, as well as to our business partners for their support of the event.
