SUMMARY OF THE XX ALL-RUSSIAN ANNIVERSARY CONGRESS “OUTPATIENT CARE AT THE EPICENTER OF WOMEN’S HEALTH”.
The President of the congress was G.T. Sukhikh - Director of FSBI ”V.I. Kulakov Research Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Health The Ministry of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, Perinatology and Reproductology at the medical postgraduate studies department of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, member of RAS, professor, Honored scientist of the Russian Federation.
The Head of the Chair of the organizing committee and of the scientific programme was V.N. Prilepskaya - Deputy Scientific Director of FSBI ”V.I. Kulakov Research Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Society of Contraception and the Association of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, Head of the scientific polyclinic department, M.D., Honored scientist of the Russian Federation.
In the course of the scientific programme, the following issues were discussed: role of outpatient services in OB/GYN care for the population, issues of development of OB/GYN outpatient services, standards of OB/GYN care; current issues in obstetrics: extragenital diseases and pregnancy, pregnancy and oncological diseases, miscarriages, pregnancy in women of high risk group, issues of implementation of new technology in outpatient care.
Problems of infertile marriage: diagnostics and treatment of infertility in married couples, auxiliary reproductive technologies; issues of gynecological endocrinology; issues of contraception with focus on prevention of abortions and their complications, medical aspects of contraception, modern developments in contraception.
Issues of breast diseases: prevention, diagnostics, and treatment.
Special attention was paid to socially important diseases, namely, sexually transmitted diseases, their diagnostic and treatment; issues of cervical, vaginal and vulvar pathologies, with social focus on new possibilities in diagnostics and treatment; precancerous conditions and cervical cancer; new horizons – vaccinations, prevention of precancer, as well as cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancer.
According to the official statistics, 950 specialists from 7 countries (Spain, Abkhazia, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine) attended the Congress; domestic participants represented 153 cities and 74 federal subjects.
The Congress was accompanied by an exhibition with 33 participating companies. Among main trends of the exhibition were the following: medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, laser medicine, colposcopy equipment, development of medicinal products etc. A large selection of current medical literature was also available.
