17-20 January 2017 in Moscow, at the halls of the "Scientific centre for obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology, named after academician V. I. Kulakov" for the eleventh time opened the International Congress on reproductive medicine. Elite of domestic and international obstetricians, gynecologists, reproductologists of the modern world have gathered in order to focus science and the medical community on the task of protection of the family and posterity.

Organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Russian society of obstetricians-gynecologists, the "Scientific centre for obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology, named after academician V. I. Kulakov", Department of reproductive medicine and surgery of the Moscow State medical and dental University, Society for reproductive medicine and surgery (ORMH), Russian Association of endometriosis (RAE) and the technical implementation of the congress-operator "MEDI Expo", the International Congress was included into the Order of Ministry of Health of Russia.

The head of the Congress was Professor, academician of RAS, Director of "Scientific centre for obstetrics, gynecology and perinatology, named after academician V. I. Kulakov" Gennagy Sukhikh, and Chairwoman of the Congress Organizing Commettee was Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head Specialist in obstetrics and gynecology of Ministry of Health of Russia, Head of MSUMD Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Leila Adamyan.

Since 2006, the Congress annually expands the geography of the participating countries, the scope of the scientific program and today it is a real international "University" of knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology. According to the Professor, the Deputy Minister of health of the Russian Federation Tatyana Yakovleva, the International Congress has become a good, very important tradition in the Russian Federation.
Like a symbol of scientific and educational beginning of the year, the Congress-2017 reached a record number of professionals: 1444 delegates from 209 cities, 75 regions of the Russian Federation, 24 countries, including Abkhazia, Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Israel, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Moldova, Portugal, Russia, Romania, USA, Ukraine, France, Sweden and Japan.

222 speakers and members of the Organizing Committee gave scientific and educational lectures and discussions on the main themes of reproductive health, problems of modern oncology, pediatric surgery and sub-disciplines. 251 young scientists took place in the scientific program of the Congress, which is a genuine pride of the organizing Committee.

Important events of the Congress were the Meeting of the main specialists of obstetricians and gynecologists, devoted to organizational aspects of healthcare, and Competition for young scientists.

In the framework of Congress, twenty-two leading Russian and foreign pharm-manufacturers of drugs and medical equipment took place in the exhibition.
