Today, on January 18, the XVI Congress on reproductive medicine started in the OnLine format, which traditionally brought together the best specialized specialists from around the world to discuss topical issues.

At the opening of the Congress, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation made a welcoming speech. Mikhail Murashko shared the results of the implementation of federal projects, and also noted the importance of the event and its internationality:

«I am confident that the Congress will allow us to get acquainted with the latest developments of the international level, improve our professional knowledge, establish an effective exchange of experience between specialists and contribute to the preservation of the reproductive potential of the country.»

The director of the FSBI «National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I.Kulakov» of the Ministry of Health of Russia told about the results of the Center's work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gennady Sukhikh noted the importance of preserving the reproductive health of the country, and also outlined the list of tasks facing specialists today.

The head of Roszdravnadzor Alla Samoilova and Academician of the RAS Galina Savelyeva also conveyed greetings to the participants of the Congress.

The head of the Congress Leyla Adamyan announced the extensive scientific program of the Congress and noted that 52 scientists from all over the world took part in its formation:

«Thanks to such an alliance, this Congress is gaining more and more fundamental, new-tech significance both in the field of reproductive medicine, assisted reproductive technologies, genetics, immunology, and from the perspective of new technologies in surgery».

Today, experts have raised the most important issues in modern realities for discussion. An equally rich program awaits the participants tomorrow.
