The Congress on anesthesia and resuscitation in obstetrics and neonatology has successfully completed its work

Today, November 19, the three-day XIV Russian Educational Congress "Anesthesia and Resuscitation in Obstetrics and Neonatology", which was held in an online format, successfully completed its work.

The scientific work of the Congress was attended by domestic and foreign scientists, leading specialists of leading medical institutions in Russia, Latvia, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, USA, Israel, Poland, Japan.

In total, during the event, 27 symposia, 12 round tables, 14 meetings, 6 schools of neonatology, a school of neonatological nurses were held. Also in full-time format in Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov" of the Ministry of Health of Russia passed the Schools of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators.

Numerous meetings were held in 5 virtual rooms. The multichannel broadcast allowed the leaders of the profession to discuss topics as: COVID-19 in obstetrics; a patient with heart disease in an obstetric-pediatric hospital; non-standard drug therapy in newborns; patient blood management in obstetrics; the problem of Atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome in obstetrics; stabilization of the condition of newborn children in the delivery room; necrotizing enterocolitis in premature babies; legal aspects of medical care and many others.

According to preliminary statistics, over 5.5 thousand specialists from 31 countries, 512 cities, 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have joined the broadcast in 3 days of the Congress. Also on the YouTube channel on the first day, more than 40 thousand views were recorded, on the second day ‒ more than 41 thousand, on the third ‒ more than 50 thousand.

At the closing ceremony of the Congress, the , Director of the FSBI "National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov" of Ministry of Health of Russia, Gennadiy Sukhikh, thanked his colleagues for their interest in professional development and noted that thanks to the online format many specialists from the regions were able to freely obtain the necessary information.
